Hydri continues to advance Sweden’s hydrogen infrastructure by inaugurating a new green hydrogen fueling station at Rasta in Håby, Munkedal. Following the opening of a station in Gothenburg’s port earlier this fall, the Håby station becomes the second to open in Western Sweden in a short period.
A Strategic Location Along the E6 Corridor
Situated along the E6 highway, a key route for both national and international traffic, the Håby station serves as a critical hub for the decarbonization of the transport sector. The station will enable hydrogen-powered heavy-duty vehicles to operate efficiently, supporting Sweden’s transition to fossil-free transportation.
Michel Thomas, CEO of Qarlbo Energy and Chairman of Hydri, emphasized the significance of this milestone:
“We are committed to enabling the transition to fossil-free energy across the entire value chain, and hydrogen is a vital component—especially for heavy transport. Without accessible hydrogen fueling stations, hydrogen-powered trucks cannot hit the roads. The opening of this station in Håby, our second in Bohuslän after Gothenburg’s port, marks a major step toward decarbonizing heavy transport, both in the Gothenburg region and across Sweden.”
