HydrogenPro (OSE: HYPRO), a global leader in green hydrogen technology, has entered into a strategic partnership with Thermax, a leading energy and environment solutions provider, to accelerate the deployment of advanced alkaline electrolyser systems in India.
Under the agreement, Thermax gains exclusive rights in India for the supply, installation, commissioning, and after-sales service of alkaline electrolysers based on HydrogenPro’s technology. The arrangement includes technology licensing, stack supply, future upgrades, and technical support from HydrogenPro, and takes effect immediately — enabling deployment in ongoing green hydrogen projects across the country.
HydrogenPro’s proven electrolyser technology meets stringent international standards and certifications. Its expertise in advanced electrode development and coating delivers high-efficiency performance, making it well-suited to India’s fast-growing renewable hydrogen sector.
As part of a comprehensive technology transfer, Thermax will manufacture key systems and balance-of-plant components at its facilities, integrating them with HydrogenPro stacks. Both companies will also collaborate on joint development of advanced solutions, with a new short-stack test station to be established at Thermax’s Pune facility as an initial milestone.
“Our association with HydrogenPro marks an important step in expanding our green hydrogen portfolio,” said Ashish Bhandari, MD & CEO of Thermax. “By combining HydrogenPro’s proven technology with Thermax’s engineering and project execution expertise, we will deliver integrated, localised solutions that support industrial decarbonisation and India’s energy transition.”
“India is one of the fastest-growing hydrogen markets,” added Jarle Dragvik, CEO of HydrogenPro. “Partnering with Thermax gives us a strong entry point and aligns with our mission to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors. Together, we can deliver scalable, sustainable energy solutions tailored to India’s needs.”
With this collaboration, Thermax will offer end-to-end integrated green hydrogen solutions, including electrolyser systems, turnkey EPC project delivery, and lifecycle performance services. The partnership reinforces both companies’ commitment to advancing India’s green hydrogen ecosystem and supporting the country’s industrial energy transition.
