Electric Hydrogen and Ingeteam Partner to Power 100MW Green Hydrogen Plants in Europe

Electric Hydrogen, a leading manufacturer of large-scale electrolyzers, has partnered with Ingeteam, a European leader in power conversion systems, to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of its 100MW electrolyzer plants in Europe. Following successful deployments at Electric Hydrogen’s facilities in San Jose, California, and Devens, Massachusetts, Ingeteam will now supply rectifier systems for the company’s European projects.

Strengthening European and American Clean Energy Innovation

With a growing customer base in Europe, Electric Hydrogen is committed to supporting the European Union’s decarbonization and industrial competitiveness goals. By partnering with Ingeteam, the company ensures a strong transatlantic supply chain, combining cutting-edge power conversion technology with scaled electrolyzer production to make clean hydrogen more cost-competitive.

“Ingeteam’s power conversion technology helps us push the boundaries of performance and cost. This collaboration, which includes extensive interoperability testing, de-risks the critical interface between electrolysis and power systems in our 100MW Plant and leverages Ingeteam’s experience and scaled supply chain,” said Raffi Garabedian, CEO and Co-founder of Electric Hydrogen.

Driving Down the Cost of Green Hydrogen

Power systems, which convert AC to DC power, represent a significant portion of a green hydrogen plant’s overall cost. By co-optimizing their technologies, Electric Hydrogen and Ingeteam have reduced integration risks while cutting total project costs by up to 60% compared to industry benchmarks.

“This collaboration allows us to apply more than 50 years of expertise in power electronics to one of the most promising emerging industries,” said Adolfo Rebollo, CEO of Ingeteam. “Our technology is purpose-built for industrial applications, and we are proud to support Electric Hydrogen in driving down the cost of clean hydrogen for customers in Spain, Europe, and beyond.”

This partnership represents a major step toward scaling affordable green hydrogen production, reinforcing the global clean energy transition and enhancing energy independence in Europe and worldwide.
