HyVera Launches in U.S. with Hydrogen-on-Demand Technology

HyVera Distributed Energy has officially entered the U.S. market, introducing its hydrogen-on-demand (H2oD) technology designed to make clean hydrogen more accessible and scalable. The company is backed by parent group EnviroGroup Holdings and is working in partnership with NOVUS Innovation Group to accelerate adoption across North America.

HyVera’s patented system generates hydrogen by combining specially engineered fuel pellets—produced from industrial byproducts—with water. The process releases hydrogen gas for immediate use, while leaving behind a non-hazardous substance that can be recharged into pellets, repurposed in other applications, or safely disposed of. This approach allows for localized, flexible hydrogen production without reliance on large centralized plants or costly pipeline infrastructure.

To support its expansion, HyVera has established two new offices in the U.S.: a Sacramento base to lead sales and seize opportunities in the California market, and a center of excellence in Evansville, Indiana, dedicated to advancing fuel pellet science and commercial development. The company is also preparing two demonstration projects to showcase the efficiency and practicality of H2oD systems in operational environments.

“The launch of HyVera in the United States marks a major milestone in advancing hydrogen solutions,” said Charles Stockton, CEO of EnviroGroup. “Our technology enables businesses and communities to access hydrogen without waiting for extensive infrastructure buildout. By validating its performance in real projects, we’re showing hydrogen can be safe, cost-effective, and deployable today.”

Rich Robillard, CEO of NOVUS, added: “HyVera’s approach to distributed, on-demand energy is transformative. These projects will demonstrate hydrogen’s role not only in industrial operations but also in strengthening local energy resilience.”
