AtkinsRéalis [SNC-Lavalin Group Inc.] (TSX: ATRL), a global leader in professional services and project management, has secured a contract with TESCanada H2 Inc. for front end engineering and design services of the Projet Mauricie green hydrogen hub in Quebec. This collaboration marks a significant step towards sustainable energy solutions, with the project aiming to produce 70,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually for decarbonizing industrial and heavy transportation sectors within the province. The initiative, anticipated to cut down emissions by 800,000 tonnes CO2eq each year, is set for commissioning in 2028 and stands as one of Canada’s and Quebec’s most ambitious clean energy and decarbonization efforts.
AtkinsRéalis, alongside engineering partner BBA, will oversee the development of project plans, schedules, cost estimates, environmental assessments, and support TESCanada in navigating through permitting processes and addressing technical hurdles. This initiative further underscores AtkinsRéalis’ commitment to advancing the green hydrogen ecosystem, leveraging its vast global experience in the hydrogen market to facilitate a seamless energy transition in Quebec.
