SunHydrogen Partners with CTF Solar to Boost Green Hydrogen Production

SunHydrogen, Inc. (OTCQB: HYSR), an innovator in renewable hydrogen production technology, has announced a partnership with CTF Solar GmbH, a leader in thin-film solar cell technology. This collaboration aims to enhance SunHydrogen’s green hydrogen panels by incorporating CTF Solar’s advanced solar modules.

Tim Young, CEO of SunHydrogen, shared in a recent shareholder letter that integrating CTF’s solar cell modules with SunHydrogen’s proprietary nanoparticle technology offers significant advantages. Over the past eight months, the company has successfully modified CTF Solar’s solar cell designs to develop a 100 cm² hydrogen module that optimizes hydrogen production while requiring minimal adjustments to the current manufacturing process.

This strategic enhancement ensures the photovoltaic elements reach the necessary voltages and currents for efficient hydrogen generation. Additionally, SunHydrogen is advancing the integration of catalysts and working with CTF Solar on applying stabilization coatings to boost the performance and longevity of the modules.

The partnership will kick off with a pilot demonstration of 50 1m² green hydrogen panels to assess their efficacy, cost-effectiveness, and operational viability at a systems level. SunHydrogen anticipates soon announcing an industrial partnership to develop the housing units and infrastructure needed for commercial-scale production.

CTF Solar, based in Dresden, Germany, and part of China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd. (CTIEC)—a top 200 global design firm and a subsidiary of the CNBM Group, a Fortune 500 company—brings decades of photovoltaic innovation and the capacity to scale operations worldwide, making them an ideal partner for SunHydrogen.
