Plug Power Secures 2 GW Electrolyzer Supply Deal with Allied Biofuels for Landmark eSAF Project in Uzbekistan

Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ: PLUG), a global leader in integrated hydrogen solutions, has signed a binding supply agreement with Allied Biofuels FE LLC (ABF) for the delivery of up to 2 gigawatts (GW) of its GenEco™ PEM electrolyzer systems. The agreement supports ABF’s plan to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), electro-sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF), and green diesel, with a final investment decision (FID) anticipated in Q4 2026.

The new contract expands Plug’s partnership with the Allied group, following its previously announced 3 GW collaboration with Allied Green Ammonia (AGA) in Australia. Together, these projects now represent 5 GW of electrolyzer capacity, one of the largest combined hydrogen technology commitments worldwide. Plug’s systems will drive ABF’s flagship SAF and eSAF facility in Uzbekistan, strategically positioned to supply rapidly growing sustainable fuel markets across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

The agreement was finalized in Australia during Plug CEO Andy Marsh’s regional visit, where he met with key partners to advance hydrogen and renewable fuel projects. The deal marks one of 2025’s largest electrolyzer supply agreements, underscoring Plug’s pivotal role in scaling global renewable fuel production.

“This agreement demonstrates Plug’s ability to turn hydrogen ambition into real projects,” said Andy Marsh, CEO of Plug Power. “We’re not waiting for the future — we’re building it. Our technology is powering multi-gigawatt developments worldwide, proving that green hydrogen and e-fuels are ready to compete at scale.”

Alfred Benedict, Chairman of Allied Biofuels, added: “Partnering with Plug gives us the confidence and capacity to deliver reliable, low-carbon fuels to global markets. This agreement is a major milestone for Allied Biofuels as we move toward final investment approval and the next phase of project execution.”

Plug’s GenEco™ PEM electrolyzer platform enables efficient, modular hydrogen production using renewable power, providing the foundation for large-scale synthetic fuel and industrial decarbonization projects. The company continues to expand its presence across Asia-Pacific and Central Asia, with ongoing deployments in South Korea, India, and Japan, supporting the integration of clean hydrogen into power generation, fuel synthesis, and heavy industry.
